Spice Trader Shiraz: The Spice Trader Shiraz wears a purple coat with a fine maroon trim. The aromas are of plump Ribena inspired blackcurrant with hints of smoked almonds and quince. Lush black fruits spiral around the palate leaving echoes of cinnamon and cherry syrup. The long soft finish cools the throat and teases with more flavour and entices you on to another sip. Spice Trader Cabernet Sauvignon: It is surprisingly aromatic straight out of the bottle with plum jam and currants. The hints of dried herb will blossom with time in bottle or decanter. Soft and forward dark berry fruits dominate the palate with a mouthcoating richness offset by structural finesse. There is a pleasantly cooling note on the finish that is remarkable in length. Heartland Shiraz: To the eye it is all impenetrable, opaque purple. Aromas of fresh boysenberry and homemade plum jam are accented by classic cinnamon, liquorice and black pepper. The palate is fresh, lively and layered with dark forest fruits. Well-integrated tannins carry the fruit through to a long finish. Enjoy now and over the next decade. Heartland Cabernet Sauvignon: A deep plum core fades into a garnet rim. The aromas of violets, clove and aniseed overlay the heart of plum jam. Fresh plums and blackcurrants are accented on the palate with bay leaves and coffee granules. Like all our Cabernet Sauvignons, the finish is most noticeable, with an extended and pleasing echo from the first swallow onwards. Directors’ Cut Shiraz: The wine shows a deep purple almost indigo hue. Lifted fresh fruit flavours abound and are guided by the spirit of white pepper, fennel and nettle, with a faint white truffle note. The palate is both soft and forward and dominated by blackberry and ripe persimmon. The spice notes on the finish will develop in the glass. Directors’ Cut Cabernet Sauvignon: The wine wears a ruby red robe with hints of purple. The nose offers blackcurrant compote, with cocoa and dried plums. The taste is of intense black raspberry with rumours of leather and a long, smooth and savoury finish. Director’s Cut Cabernet Sauvignon will build body and complexity over the next decade。
