Tasting Notes
A purple rim encompasses a core of deep ruby. The aromas are dominated by black fruits and hints of spice.
The 2019 is forward, fruit-driven, fresh and still looking bright in the mouth. This cracking vintage has yielded a remarkably approachable and friendly red that is quintessentially Shiraz.
Vinification
The Shiraz was de-stemmed, crushed and pumped over twice a day for ten days. The wine was matured in older oak barrels for twelve months prior to bottling.
Vintage
Except for the January 24 heat spike that affected every growing region, Langhorne Creek stayed reasonably cool with average temperatures nearly 10 degrees below Barossa and McLaren Vale. Despite all the usual fears it was a trouble-free and high-quality harvest. This why the quality and consistency of Langhorne Creek is gaining acknowledgement around the world.
