Directors' Cut 2007: Australian Wine Annual

Jeremy Oliver, The Australian Wine Annual 2010
 Oct 2009

Oaky, minty and savoury, with a smoky bouquet of cassis, blackberries, and dark plums backed by smoky, slightly varnishy chocolate-like oak, dried herbs and an obvious presence of mint and menthol it's briary and brambly, with a luscious, jube-like intensity all down the palate. Despite some salty, slightly raw and angular aspects, it finishes with length, richness and a persistent presence of firmish, drying tannin.
