In naming the Heartland Directors' Cut Shiraz one of the "Top 100 Wines" for 2010 in the annual feature, Tony Love commented: "Crafted by Ben Glaetzer, this is a great example of full-powered, fruit driven shiraz with deep aromatics, a sense of cool climate character to it, with bright-edged ripeness and mouth feel giving this shiraz a sense of life and excitement over the palate that hasn't been masked by over-oaking"
