Directors' Cut 06: Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

Deep ruby. Seductive, expansive bouquet of dark berries, smoked meat, vanilla and oak spices. Cherry-vanilla and blueberry flavours are broad and sweet, with gentle tannins adding grip. Suprisingly focused for its sweet fruit, with well-managed tannins and good finishing cut. Leaves a strong blueberry quality behind on the long, juicy back end. This got 100% new oak, a blend of French and Kentucky. 90 Points.
