The 2007 Hyatt/Advertiser South Australian Wine of the Year awards recognise a crucial part of the marketplace - that wines are bought and drunk by people who aren't trained in the technicalities and esoterics of particular varieties or styles. That's why the SA awards include a consumer panel of judges, who select their favourites from a short-list provided by a panel of elite winemakers and professional judges.

Our Heartland Viognier Pinot Gris 2006 has been awarded runner-up in the Consumers' Choice "Other Whites" category.

Faint wafts of peachy and apricot fruit give this wine an allure with smart blending and medium-bodied impact in the mouth, a bit of melon with a nice backdrop of acidity still evident. Lots of pleasure.
