It takes a different kind of a winemaker to even consider the marriage of dolcetto and lagrein, but the second vintage of this creative blend shows the first was certainly no fluke. Lavishly endowed with sumptuous flavours of blackberries, dark plums, plain chocolate and fresh berries, this deliciously approachable and distinctive red is finely supported by an undercarriage of fine, tight-knit tannins. Long and lusciously fruited, it's a genuine food wine that finishes sour-edged and savoury, with a refreshing acidity.
