Heartland Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 - 'Eminently drinkable"
Paddy Kendler, Melbourne Herald Sun Nov 2005A few days after sampling the Heartland Shiraz and the Cabernet
Sauvignon, I asked my retailer about their availability. He
stocked the shiraz - a good dry red - but not the cabernet, which I
rated an even better wine and exceptional value for money. Here
was yet another example of the triumph of the trendy shiraz over the
unfashionable cabernet, which is a pity because this is the very
essence of the variety with its pronounced black berry fruits enriched
with hints of mint and earth.
Smooth tannins make it eminently drinkable now. Ask for it.
