2005 Stickleback White
Ben Glaetzer has just released this tempting cocktail of semillon,
chardonnay and verdelho under his Stickleback brand. Don't be
fooled by the low price - this talented winemaker does not produce a
bad drop. Masses of citrus and gooseberry aromas swirl out of the
glass, and the palate is alive with zesty lemon and pear. Crisp,
clean acid sparkles on the finish. Screwcap.
Heartland Dolcetto Lagrein 2004
Watch out for this slinky feline beauty. Lifted aromas of
mulberry, cassis and currants dominate the bouquet, while hints of
dried straw and eucalyptus add freshness and density. On the
palate you'll discover cracked pepper, cedar and rich cherries, all
balanced by firm savoury tannins. Screwcap
