Three Medals from Three Entries for Heartland

Press Release
 Sep 2002

Heartland Wines has achieved further acclaim after winning a Bronze and two Silver medals at the recent 2002 Royal Melbourne Wine Show.

The 2001 Directors Cut Shiraz won Bronze in the 2001 Dry Red

Shiraz section while the 2000 vintage won Silver in the 2000 Dry Red Shiraz class.  The 2000 Wirrega Shiraz (only released in the UK) also took a Silver medal.

The Royal Melbourne Wine Show is one of the biggest wine shows in the country attracting around 4,000 entries from all over Australia including many of the countries top wines.

The wine show, conducted by the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria each year, is judged by panels of expert judges drawn from across the Australian wine industry and supplemented by experienced international judges.

The win by Heartland Wines continues its run of success with the 2000 Director’s Cut Shiraz also achieving a five-star rating in the Annual Winestate Magazine Shiraz Tasting in the July/August 2002 issue.
