Three Medals from Three Entries for Heartland
Press Release Sep 2002Heartland Wines has
achieved further acclaim after winning a Bronze and two
Silver medals at the recent 2002 Royal Melbourne Wine Show.
The
2001 Directors Cut Shiraz won Bronze in the 2001 Dry Red
Shiraz section while
the 2000 vintage won Silver in the 2000 Dry Red Shiraz class. The 2000 Wirrega Shiraz (only released in the
UK) also took a Silver medal.
The Royal Melbourne Wine Show is one of the
biggest wine shows in the country attracting around 4,000 entries from all over
Australia including many of the countries top wines.
The
wine show, conducted by the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria each year, is
judged by panels of expert judges drawn from across the
Australian wine industry and supplemented by experienced international
judges.
The win by Heartland Wines continues its run of
success with the 2000 Director’s Cut Shiraz also achieving a five-star rating in
the Annual Winestate Magazine Shiraz Tasting in the July/August 2002
issue.
