Heartland 2000 Directors' Cut Reviews

 Feb 2005

The deep ruby/purple colored, smoky, spicy 2000 Directors' Cut Shiraz exhibits notions of pepper and blackberries in its aromatic profile. Medium-bodied, pure and ripe... ...It should be drunk over the next 5-7 years.

The Wine Advocate - Robert Parker Jr - October 2002

The directors behind Heartland have familiar names. There's Scott Collett (McLaren Vale), Geoff Hardy (Adelaide Hills) and Colin & Ben Glaetzer (Barossa Valley) among others, so there's a lot of wine-growing and making experience here..........Their specialty is Shiraz. The 2000 Directors' Cut Shiraz from the Limestone Coast is a forceful debut with spicy cinnamon and some expensive (and excellent) smooth vanillan oak on the nose with rich black cherry, licorice, and nutmeg flavours. It's big and beautiful.
