Annual Favourite Wine Award Winners

donna hay magazine favourite wine awards 2004 celebrates Australia’s finest wines for every day and special events. Over a 1000 wines were sniffed, sipped, and swished around until 130 wines were chosen.

Two Heartland wines were included in the 130 chosen wines – Coast & Creek 2002 Petit Verdot and 2003 Viognier Pinot Gris. Both wines achieved a highly commended rating in the white blends and red varietal categories.

2002 Heartland Coast & Creek Petit Verdot

Wonderfully savoury on the nose with the all-round appeal of roasted nuts and mocha tones. Great with baked veal wrapped in sage and prosciutto and crispy potatoes.

2003 Heartland Coast & Creek Viognier Pinot Gris

Intense pears with some honey characters. Not for those who love delicate white wine. Great with Chinese pork buns.
