2004 Stickleback White

Another of the finds of the year from this relatively new label. Just a lovely mix of fruit. Perfectly weighted and balanced, with the semillon, chardonnay and verdelho working together nicely. You will hear a lot more from these guys. The reds are very good too.

2003 Stickleback Red

This is the other half of an outstanding value-for-money pairing from this emerging South Australian producer under the direction of young winemaker Ben Glaetzer. It's a blend of cabernet shiraz and grenache, and it's all juicy and vibrant with a beautiful scented aroma and gorgeous ripe fruit on the palate. Perfectly weighted for current drinking.
