Something to try: 2003 Heartland Stickleback Red
Peter Dietsch, The Canberra review Apr 2005One of the best examples you can buy at the moment is a new wine which has
just come out of South Australia. It is called Heartland Stickleback Red, and it
is full of exuberant sweet fruit. It is sugary and lollyish, but it is crammed
with flavour. It is a three way blend of cabernet sauvignon, shiraz and
grenache. It is made by Ben Glaetzer, who is one of the emerging superstars of
Australian wine. And, best of all, it is available in bottle shops for well
under fifteen dollars a bottle.
